2019 God Is on the Move

2019 Accomplishments:

Maine Mission Team:

• Spiritual Focus: God is on the move!
• # of Bright Future School children sponsored = 300
• Contractors: Kathy Broman retired from being the bookkeeper in June and Kara VanderLeest added the bookkeeping responsibilities to her position. Kara then relinquished her role as child sponsor coordinator a month later. We hired Heather Kozup for Child Sponsorship Coordinator. In December Kara VanderLeest notified the board than she would not be able to continue as our Bookkeeper. Tara Hepper was hired as our new Bookkeeper.
• Fundraisers: Bowling, Golf, Concessions, Pampered Chef
• Mission’s Teams: We sent a team from Ambrose and another from Maine.
• Discontinued the food program at BFS since the famine is over.
• Graduated 5 students from S6 and sent 2 to college.
• Continued the Water Project.
• Sent money over to purchase sewing machines for the women’s program.
• Finished website redesign.
• Created new brochure insert to sign up new partners.
• Feasibility Study completed and assessed.
• Ambrose Calendars created for BFS students.
• Board: Added Steve Doyle from Maine as a director and Pastor Dave McGarrah from Nampa who is pastor of Deerflat Church as the Chairman of the Board. Bruce and Val MacMahon had to step down for a sabbatical during this busy season at Bruce’s work. Michael England will volunteer his time and talents as the new ABFM Executive Director until we are able to hire a permanent person. He will develop the role and pave the way for the new person.
