2017 Accomplishments:

Kim Buie leads the Pampered Chef Fundraiser at the home of Gayle Martinez.

• Spiritual Focus: Unity
• # of Bright Future School children sponsored = 278
• Contractors: Kathy Broman bookkeeper, Noelle Buie gave her Child Sponsor Coordinator position to Kara VanderLeest.
• Paid for in Rwanda: Bookkeeper, Child Sponsor Coordinator, Executive Director.
• Started a U.S. Lapsed Sponsor Fund in October.
• Fundraisers: Gala, Golf, Pampered Chef and Pinochle. The Gala was very successful. Val MacMahon headed up the planning and execution. It was held at the Meridian Senior Center and about 200 people came. We got a lot of donations and Knack Attack catered.
• Famine in Nyagatare so we started a food program and provided lunch for the entire BFS from March into 2019.
• We began the Water Project to raise funds to buy well drilling equipment.
• We began the BFS Landscaping Project to provide grass and aesthetics in place of the dirt around the school. We also buried dangerous exposed electrical wires.
• We began work on the New Secondary School. We raised funds to send an architectural Mission’s Group called eMI to draw up the plans for the school. We also started paying for a Secondary School Coordinator to push through the permits, etc. and PP took this position.
• We started a college fund to save some of the grant money for kids to attend college when they are ready.
• Sent money over to purchase sewing machines for the women’s program.
• Mission’s Teams: We sent a team from Ambrose and one from Maine. Mark & Bobbie Post visited Rwanda to teach in a Pastor’s Conference.
