The team understands the importance of having a website presence, branding and a logo so talks have begun. From this, a new issue is apparent which is that our name will need to be changed due to the existence of another African ministry with the same name and they already have a website. Items are being sold on Craig’s List to raise some funds and Pampered Chef Fundraisers are an ongoing way to raise funds. Ron Blake offered his services of finding grants for us to apply for but we have not been able to begin this work yet. A child is being highlighted each month in the Newsletter in hopes that this will raise awareness of the number of children that need sponsors. The team passed around a book entitled "African Money Matters" which explained the cultural difference of handling money in Africa compared with the U.S.

Sue, Shirley, Melina and Gayle took a road trip to Oregon to visit the Africa New Life office. The office staff showed their operation and answered all of our team’s questions which provides us with much needed insight for the ministry. A car was donated to AHMI for ministry in Rwanda but it was discovered that shipping would make it prohibitive so the car was sold and $7,500 sent to Rwanda for the purchase of a 4-wheel drive in Rwanda. Laura Lantz volunteered to begin work on the website but the information is not complete as well as the naming conflict puts roadblocks to establishing the website.

Aubrey Brinton who is a BSU student requested to work for AHM Rwanda for the summer. She was interviewed and accepted. Pastor Patrick and another family hosted her while she was in Rwanda.

Henry and Gayle plan a mission’s trip to Rwanda for June 2010 after a 2 week stay in Israel with Pastor Patrick and his wife Gertrude.
