2009 God Will Provide

The AHMI U.S. Team held monthly meetings to discuss ways to improve AHMI processes, raise funds and make awareness for the ministry. They forged a partnership with Kim Buie, a local Pampered Chef Consultant who holds Pampered Chef Fundraiser parties and planned the first Pampered Chef Fundraiser party.

Roles and responsibilities were outlined and distributed. Plans to obtain non-profit status were being determined. A partnership was also forged with George Hage and the Free Wheelchair Mission which is a non-profit organization that provides wheelchairs to third world countries where people cannot afford to purchase wheelchairs. A goal is to raise funds to get wheelchairs into Rwanda as a joint effort. God also introduced Gayle and Sue to an organization by the name of Africa New Life. We discovered that two Baptist churches here in Boise are strong supporters of this organization which is located in Kigali. They are doing the same type of ministry that we are endeavoring to do and the founder is a friend of Pastor Patrick’s. Gayle contacted Cindy and Jerry Prouty who are members of First Baptist in Boise and who spent time working for ANL in Kigali at their guesthouse. They provided a lot of information about how to visit Kigali.
